Welcome
My name is Tasia and I was sexually abused from ages 4-11 and raped in college when I was 20 years old. The Teal Lotus Project is based on spreading awareness by sharing my story, that in turn opens the door for others to come forward and start their own journey of healing. Telling & sharing our stories, knowing we are not alone, makes a difference.
Rape is grouped into a category of unspeakable horrors, and sadly, this fact hurts the survivor of rape. But every time I tell my story, I know that I am putting a face, my face, the face of someone people care
about, on the unspeakable horror and every time they hear that word for the rest of their lives, they will no longer brush it off. It happened to someone they knew.
I ask you to take another look at your surroundings. Based on statistics, you more than likely come across a hand full of innocent victims each day, they may be in a current abusive situation. With my project, I hope it will give victims the power & confidence to come forward. That someone will believe them. What are you going to do to make a difference for them, the ones that are still too scared to share their story?
The clock is ticking.
